Magdalena Pela

Artystka wizualna, malarka. Ukończyła Wydział Malarstwa oraz Międzywydziałowe Środowiskowe Studia Doktoranckie na ASP w Gdańsku. Absolwentka kuturoznawstwa na Wydziale Filologicznym Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. W 2022 roku uzyskała tytuł doktory sztuki. Na macierzystej uczelni pracuje jako adiunktka oraz asystentka na Wydziale Malarstwa. Wielokrotna laureatka i finalistka konkursów malarskich o zasięgu ogólnopolskim i międzynarodowym. Autorka wystaw indywidualnych m.in. w Galerii Promocyjnej w Warszawie, Gdańskiej Galerii Miejskiej, Galerii Miejskiej BWA w Bydgoszczy, Galerii Bardzo Białej w Warszawie, Galerii EL, Galerii Przypływ w Gdyni. Obrazy Peli znajdują się w licznych kolekcjach prywatnych oraz w stałej kolekcji Muzeum Narodowego w Gdańsku, Europejskiego Centrum Solidarności oraz Nowego Muzeum Sztuki NOMUS. Laureatka Nagrody Publiczności dla Młodych Twórców Kultury Miasta Gdańska za rok 2024. Reprezentowana przez Galerię Przypływ.

Visual artist and painter. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting and the Interfaculty Doctoral Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, and from Cultural Studies at the University of Gdańsk. She received a PhD in Fine Arts in 2022 and works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Painting. She is a multiple winner and finalist of national and international painting competitions. She has held solo exhibitions, among others, at the Gdańsk City Gallery, the Promotional Gallery in Warsaw, the Municipal Gallery BWA in Bydgoszcz and the Bardzo Biała Gallery. Her works are in private collections and in institutional holdings including the National Museum in Gdańsk, the European Solidarity Centre and NOMUS. She received the City of Gdańsk Audience Award for Young Creators in Culture (2024) and is represented by the Przypływ Gallery.
