Kamil Kocurek

Urodzony w 1990 roku w Tychach. W 2015 roku ukończył studia magisterskie na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Katowicach. Dyplom wyróżniony medalem został zrealizowany w Pracowni Druku Wklęsłego prof. Obecnie mieszka w Gdańsku i pracuje na Wydziale Grafiki gdańskiej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w pracowni Podstaw Grafiki Artystycznej dr hab. Od 2013 roku aktywnie uczestniczył w wielu wystawach i przeglądach grafiki artystycznej w Polsce i za granicą. W ciągu ostatnich lat zrealizował wystawy indywidualne w takich miastach jak Katowice, Warszawa, Poznań, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz oraz Quebec City w Kanadzie. Jest laureatem między innymi Nagrody Głównej 1st Xuyuan International Print Biennial China w chińskim Pekinie (2016), Nagrody Głównej w 4th Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland w Sfântu Gheorghe w Rumuni (2016) oraz 2 Nagrody w V International Biennial of Engraving Etching of Valladolid w Hiszpani (2016).

Born in 1990 in Tychy. He graduated with honours from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice in 2015 (Intaglio Printmaking Studio of Prof. Jan Szmatloch). He lives in Gdańsk and works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, in the Studio of Foundations of Artistic Printmaking. Since 2013 he has participated in numerous exhibitions and reviews of printmaking in Poland and abroad, and has held solo shows in, among others, Katowice, Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz and Quebec. He is a recipient of prestigious awards, including Grand Prix at the 1st International Printmaking Biennale in Beijing (2016) and Grand Prix at the 4th Graphic Art Biennale in Székelyland (Romania, 2016), as well as major prizes in Katowice, Valladolid, Warsaw and other competitions. He has received scholarships from the Minister of Science (2014) and the Minister of Culture (2013).
