Piotr Józefowicz

Urodzony w 1959 roku w Lublinie. Absolwent Państwowego Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych w Lublinie (1979) oraz Wydziału Malarstwa PWSSP (obecnie ASP) w Gdańsku, w pracowni profesora Kazimierza Ostrowskiego (1985). Od 1988 roku pracuje na ASP w Gdańsku, prowadząc od 2002 roku Pracownię Rysunku na Wydziale Malarstwa. Obecnie jest Kierownikiem Katedry Malarstwa. Profesor tytularny. Zajmuje się malarstwem portretowym, ściennym oraz rysunkiem, grafiką komputerową, czasem wciela się w rolę organizatora i kuratora wystaw. W latach 1997–1999 był członkiem zespołu realizacyjnego Polskich Cmentarzy Wojennych w Katyniu, Miednoje i Charkowie.

Born in 1959 in Lublin. He graduated in painting from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 1985 under Prof. Kazimierz Ostrowski. Since 1988 he has worked as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk; since 2002 he has led the Drawing Studio at the Faculty of Painting and currently heads the Department of Painting. He holds the title of professor. He works in portrait and wall painting, drawing and digital graphics, and is active as an organiser and curator of exhibitions. In 1997–1999 he took part in the realisation of Polish War Cemeteries in Katyń, Miednoje and Kharkiv.
