Marek Wrzesiński
Urodzony w 1978 roku w Brodnicy. Absolwent Wydziału Malarstwa Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku, dyplom magisterski zrealizował w 2005 roku w IV Pracowni Malarstwa prof. Macieja Świeszewskiego, aneks w Pracowni Rysunku prof. Marii Targońskiej oraz w zakresie malarstwa ściennego pod kierunkiem prof. Andrzeja Dyakowskiego. Od 2006 roku związany zawodowo z macierzystą uczelnią, początkowo jako asystent w II Pracowni Malarstwa prof. Teresy Miszkin, następnie jako adiunkt od 2017 roku, a od 2020 roku jako profesor ASP. W czerwcu 2012 roku uzyskał stopień doktora sztuki, natomiast w grudniu 2019 roku stopień doktora habilitowanego w dziedzinie sztuki, w dyscyplinie sztuki plastyczne i konserwacja dzieł sztuki. Od 2016 roku pełnił funkcję Prodziekana ds. Artystycznych i Naukowych Wydziału Malarstwa, od 2019 roku Prodziekana ds. Kierunku Malarstwo, a od 2020 roku pełni funkcję Dziekana Wydziału Malarstwa ASP w Gdańsku. Obecnie jest kierownikiem II Pracowni Podstaw Rysunku i Malarstwa w Katedrze Kształcenia Podstawowego. Brał udział w licznych wystawach indywidualnych i zbiorowych w kraju i za granicą, uczestniczył w plenerach, konferencjach i sympozjach, a także realizował projekty kuratorskie oraz organizacyjne.

Born in 1978 in Brodnica. He graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 2005, completing his diploma in the Fourth Painting Studio of Prof. Maciej Świeszewski, with additional studies in the Drawing Studio of Prof. Maria Targońska and in mural painting under the supervision of Prof. Andrzej Dyakowski. Since 2006 he has been professionally affiliated with his alma mater, initially as an assistant in the Second Painting Studio of Prof. Teresa Miszkin, later as an assistant professor from 2017, and since 2020 as a full professor. He obtained his PhD in Fine Arts in 2012 and his habilitation degree in 2019 in the discipline of visual arts and conservation of artworks. From 2016 to 2019 he served as Vice-Dean for Artistic and Academic Affairs, from 2019 as Vice-Dean for the Painting Programme, and since 2020 he has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He is currently Head of the Second Studio of Basic Drawing and Painting within the Department of Basic Education. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, as well as in artistic residencies, conferences and symposia, and has curated and organised exhibitions and artistic events.
