Wojciech Sęczawa


Urodzony w 1961 roku. Studia na Wydziale Rzeźby w PWSSP (obecnie ASP) w Gdańsku, dyplom w pracowni profesora Edwarda Sitka w 1986 roku. Obecnie profesor na Wydziale Rzeźby w gdańskiej ASP. Prace swoje prezentuje w prestiżowych galeriach w kraju (Gdańsk, Elbląg, Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, Warszawa) i zagranicą (Niemcy, Holandia, Belgia, Szwecja, Francja, Szwajcaria, USA). Laureat wielu nagród, m.in. stypendium Ministra Kultury i Sztuki (1987), Salon zimowy, Warszawa, srebrny medal (1993), Salon wiosenny, Warszawa, złoty medal (1998), Grant EFA, Nowy Jork (1995), I nagroda za projekt pomnika Marynarza w Gdyni (2006), Nagroda (2011) i Stypendium (2012) Prezydenta Miasta Gdańska.

Born in 1961. He studied sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, graduating in 1986 under Prof. Edward Sitek. He is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (Faculty of Sculpture). His work has been presented in leading galleries in Poland and internationally, including in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, France, Switzerland and the USA. He has received numerous awards, including a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art (1987), medals at salon exhibitions in Warsaw, a European Fine Arts grant in New York (1995), First Prize in the competition for the Sailor Monument in Gdynia (2006) and awards and scholarships from the Mayor of Gdańsk.
