Krzysztof Gliszczyński

Urodzony w 1962 roku. Zajmuje się malarstwem, rysunkiem, tworzeniem obiektów, wideo. Studiował w latach 1982-1987 w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Sztuk Plastycznych w Gdańsku, dyplom w pracowni prof. Kazimierza Ostrowskiego. W latach 1984-87 założyciel i prowadzący Studencką Galerię Wlot. W latach 1995-2002 założyciel i współprowadzący Galerię Koło w Gdańsku. Dziekan Wydziału Malarstwa Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku w latach 2008-2012, Prorektor ds. rozwoju i współpracy ASP w Gdańsku w latach 2012-2016. Tytuł profesora otrzymał w 2011 roku. Obecnie prowadzi III Pracownię Malarstwa na Wydziale Malarstwa ASP w Gdańsku. Pomysłodawca utworzenia Nagrody im. Kazimierza Ostrowskiego przyznawanej przez ZPAP w Gdańsku.

Born in 1962. He works in painting and drawing, object art and video. He studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (1982–1987), graduating under Prof. Kazimierz Ostrowski. During his studies he founded the student-run Gallery Wlot (1984–1987) and later co-ran Gallery Koło in Gdańsk (1995–2002). He served as Dean of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (2008–2012) and Vice-Rector for Development (2012–2016). He received the title of Professor of Fine Arts in 2011 and currently leads the 3rd Painting Studio at the Faculty of Painting. He is the initiator of the Kazimierz Ostrowski Award granted by the Gdańsk branch of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP).
